Nous stockons désormais la nouvelle méthode de mandoline par Christian Séguret, il est donc désormais possible d’apprendre la mandoline sans parler anglais!!!   et on a aussi les avantages des méthodes provenant des éditions Rébillard: magnifique présentation, historique, explications claires…La méthode couvre plusieurs styles FOLK • BLUEGRASS • COUNTRY • CELTIQUE • ROCK • CLASSIQUE • SWING

Un nouveau projet pour un client: convertir un ukulélé epiphone en mandoline nylon 5 cordes, il nous a fourni le ukulélé et la mécanique, on a fait le reste! Cela lui donne maintenant accès à beaucoup plus de notes et de possibilités de jeu. La prochaine étape sera l’instrument à 10 cordes dérivée de la mandoline nylon standard…

L’atelier a été rempli de banjoline ce début d’année

D’abord celle de Maurice dont on ne connait pas le fabriquant, à laquelle nous avons monté une peau synthétique…

Ensuite celle de Serge pour réglages divers et refrettage, Elle est signée Vincent Jacobacci

Et enfin celle de Gérard pour repose du manche, réglages et transformation en banjolélé (avec les cordes rouges Aquila). Celle ci est une A.Harke, Forbach, Moselle

The latest instrument just finished in the Justecordes workshop is a little different.  This new mandolin has 4 nylon strings and has been built more lightly than a conventional mandolin (with 8 steel strings) so is much more responsive to the lower string tension.

This results in a warm sound with plenty of dynamic range so it’s particularly suited for celtic or old time music but could be used in almost any situation (maybe not a bluegrass jam though !)

It’s built from solid French walnut with maple binding and a rosewood fretboard and bridge

Newly arrived at Justecordes is this 4 string electric mandolin – the Goldtone GME-4.
It is fitted with a stacked humbucker pickup and could also be re-strung to ukulele tuning.
